Here’s one way: Earlier this year, the Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN) developed a survey to better understand the state of military family support efforts.

In August 2014, MFAN began its first survey, opening the Military Family Support Programming Survey to all active duty members, veterans, retirees, and their families. Over 1,500 respondents provided more than 17,000 unique responses to the survey’s open-ended questions.

Given that MFAN helps connect military families to the resources they need, these responses were important. The participants gave us insight into the lives of military families and a look at the resources and programs they value. From those insights and opinions, five main recommendations emerged. You can read our five recommendations and a complete survey report by downloading the executive summary and survey report below.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our survey. Your opinions matter and we are working hard to make your voices heard.
