Shannon Razsadin oversaw the founding of the Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN) and continues to manage the group’s advisory board that bridges the military-civilian divide and empowers military and veteran families. Ms. Razsadin leads the event management practice at Reingold, a strategic communications firm in Alexandria, Va. As a communications strategist and project manager for clients including the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Education, and the District of Columbia Department of Health, she coordinates the development of collateral materials, websites, social media, branding, and outreach plans.

Through her years of distinguished work in partnership development and event management, Ms. Razsadin has built relationships with community and federal leaders, national nonprofit organizations, vendors, and community agencies. In just six weeks, she planned and managed a film premiere, gala dinner, tours, and related events for Honor Flight, an organization that brings World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorial dedicated to their service. As special service events coordinator at the Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service at the George Washington University, she coordinated the largest collegiate service event in the nation for thousands of students, and secured appearances by cabinet secretaries and first lady Michelle Obama.

Ms. Razsadin earned a master of arts in higher education administration from the George Washington University and a bachelor of arts in Spanish from Merrimack College. Her husband, LCDR Aleksei Razsadin, USN, is stationed in Rota, Spain, where they live with their dog, Amos and cat Pepé.
