Tammy Moore is an Army spouse and advisor to the American Red Cross president and chief executive officer on policy, strategy, and operational matters relating to serving the Armed Forces. She has served in numerous Red Cross community chapters nationwide, establishing initiatives to improve program services for military families. Her work with the American Red Cross has been featured in publications and media outlets including WashingtonExec magazine, NBC News’ “Viewpoint,” Army Wife Talk Radio, and NBC, ABC, CBS, and PBS television networks.

Tammy is interested in helping maintain clear lines of communication among service members, veterans, and their families; navigate military benefits changes on behalf of military families; and reduce uncertainties surrounding deployments. She is a member of the American Red Cross Tiffany Circle of women leaders and philanthropists, an organization that has raised $32.9 million. Tammy also is a two-time recipient of the Commander’s Award for Public Service.

Tammy is completing graduate studies at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. In her spare time, she enjoys photographing nature in historic Williamsburg, Va., where she lives with her husband, Lester, an Army colonel.
